Gothic or Dark:
pertaining to a literary style of fiction prevalent in the late 18th
and early 19th centuries which emphasized the grotesque, mysterious,
and desolate: a gothic novel Gothic and Dark art moved from the
idealized to the natural. There was a revival in the 18th and the 19th
century heavily influenced by nostalgia and Gothic and Dark jewelry.

of Rome in the sixth century, as Italy at that point of time was
harking back to the classical age for inspiration in art, architecture

women and gender roles, and the Celtic fringe has provided both great
